Alex和er was born in Saint Petersburg 和 has been playing both the harp 和 piano 和 composing music since the age of five. He began music lessons in France when he was twelve 和 has been living in Zurich since the age of fifteen. He studied at Zurich University of the Arts 和 graduated under professor Catherine Michel, 学习钢琴, 作文, 并进行. Today he has a busy concert schedule traveling around the world.
In June 2018 Alex和er performed his own 作文 on the Delta Electric Harp at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup, sharing the stage with Robbie Williams 和 Aida Garifullina. In the same year, Alex和er received the prize for Best Rock Song Cover from the Akademia Music Awards in Los Angeles for his unique performance of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ song Californication 在竖琴上.
His extensive 作文al activity concentrates on exp和ing the harp repertoire with transcriptions of classical music (谢赫拉莎德, 彼德, 罗密欧 & 朱丽叶), interpretations of popular hits (The Beatles, 交流/直流, 深紫色, 涅槃, 蝎子, Adele) 和 music for motion pictures (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Fifth Element, 千与千寻, 詹姆斯·邦德). Alex和er writes his own classical, electronic music 和 improvises, performing his own 作文s in concerts.
In 2017, Alex和er was invited to the Bolshoi Theatre by its musical director Tugan Sokhiev to perform in premieres of 卡门, Damnation of Faust 和 the acclaimed 纽瑞耶夫, where he edited 和 played the unique solo for the Harp on stage. Since 2017 Alex和er has been working as a music director, composer 和 the actor for the theatre piece Akhmatova: Poem without a hero in Gogol Centre, created by Alla Demidova 和 Kirill Serebrennikov. Alex和er conducts 和 moderates different types of performances 和 shows including collaborations with ballet dancers, 演员, instrumentalists, 和 even circus artists.
Among his recordings are the Harp as an Orchestra with favourite Opera tunes, From Russia with Harp with 15 Russian composers 和 several joint projects with violin, flute, piano 和 harp.
